The 6-Week Spanish Language and Culture Program includes 3 hours of theoretical and practical lessons daily, to approach the Spanish language intensively, and thus achieve a rapid progression of the oral and written communication skills.

Language And Hispanic Culture Program
This program was created to respond to the international students’ needs to be integrated into the academic community and also to know intensely the Argentinean culture.

The program offers a variety of classes: Intermediate and Advanced Spanish, Modern History of Argentina and Latin America, Argentine Popular Culture, Argentine Literature and Cultural workshop (Argentine traditional cuisine, Folklore music and dances, among other activities.)

International students also have the option of taking courses with Argentinean students through the Career Studies Plan. This is an interesting and effective way to help the international students integrate with other Argentinean studens.

Since all courses are taught in Spanish, an intermediate level of the language is required (a minimum of four semesters, either at a university level or its equivalent from another institution). If they don’t reach the Spanish level required they can take the Intensive Spanish Program a month before regular classes begin.

UBP offers the opportunity to undertake an internship while doing a study program in Córdoba. Students can gain valuable cultural experience that promotes a change in perspective, thus cultivating future professional and personal ambitions.

To take this program, it is compulsory to be enrolled for one semester or the full academic-year.

Workload
A minimum of 8 hours per week (130 hours per semester)

Includes
– Semester or academic-year internships in Argentina
– Internships at UBP, elementary schools, high schools, and non-profit organizations. Successful fields for internship include Communications, Education, Social Work, Computing, and Technology/Graphic Design

Requirements
– Spanish proficiency (speaking, listening, and writing). A minimum of one Spanish course at the advanced level.
– Academic background or experience in the field.
– A written Internship application approved by the student’s university and received by UBP before the application deadline.
– Upon finishing the Internship Program, students must write an essay about their experience

* Internships are not granted until the personal interview takes place. The interview will be given upon the student’s arrival. If the student is not accepted for the internship, he/she may take another subject from the UBP Integrated Program in order to receive the corresponding credits.

UBP as an institution involved with progress tries to work on citizens socially responsible. That is why, we are oriented to welfare based on all of the rights and duties of the participants of this society.
Academic training needs to go beyond theories and practice in order to contribute to a permanent development of changes.
For that reason, through this program we offer the students the possibility of having a view of the society demands in order to create and encourage people to develop projects together.

To take this program, it is compulsory to be enrolled for one semester or the full academic-year.

The main objectives of this program are:

This program was created for those international students who do not have the level required to take classes in Spanish at the UBP, and are willing to take a program in a foreign friendly environment. The program offers courses in English (60-hour workload) especially designed to meet their requirements:

Besides, students have intensive Spanish lessons three times a week (90-hour workload)
Students stay with an Argentine host family and they are accompanied by a tutor (young students) throughout the whole program, which allows a successful adaptation.
Tango lessons complement the student’s full immersion into the Argentine way of living.

Latin American Cultural Heritage – the Argentine Case

This course was designed to fully understand and recognize the values of the Latin-American Cultural Heritage. Participants will analyze Argentina’s architectural heritage and its conservation problems, from a diverse cultural perspective. Students will experience and understand the development of Latin American city planning, architectural and artistic heritage from the pre-Columbian period until the first period of modernity.
Target Fields of Study: Architecture, Anthropology and Landscaping

The Argentine Financial Crisis and its Impact

This course displays the structural changes suffered as a result of the financial crisis of 2001 which radically impacted the market, in order to carry out its analysis. Market strategies and other adopted modalities to achieve stability and positioning will also be studied during the course.
Workload: 20 hours

Includes
– All common aspects to the programs in English
– Theoretical classes and visits to companies, where the student will learn about the Argentine crisis and how businesses adapted to sweeping national changes
– Visits to different companies (Paper mill, Córdoba Stock Exchange, local Airline company, National Agriculture and Livestock Industry [INTA], among others)

Environmental Management

The fundamental aim of this four-week Environmental Management Course is to understand and recognize Natural Argentine Heritage principles in addition to Sustainable Tourism.
Target Fields of Study: Business and Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences and Life Sciences, among others

Workload: 40 hours

Includes
– All common aspects to the programs in English
– Theoretical classes
– Trips to the most important National Parks in the country, such as Iguazú National Park, Ischigualasto National Park, and Talampaya

Virtual Spanish Instruction Program (EVEE)

Blas Pascal University has a special interest in creating new virtual techniques to meet student’s needs. For this reason, it has carefully developed a Virtual Spanish Instruction Program (EVEE). EVEE is an interactive internet-based program that strives to promote, achieve, and improve the learning of Spanish as a second language.

This virtual environment has been especially created to adapt the diverse learning methods necessary for particular needs of students around the world, while simultaneously providing the instructor with a variety of didactic resources.

EVEE courses have been organized according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:

 

 

 

SPANISH COURSE –BEGINNER LEVEL

This course focuses on the communicative approach. Students are introduced to the basic characteristics of the language which enables them to interact with native speakers and to participate in communicate situations to consolidate or improve their knowledge in academic and professional instances, both written and oral.
